WOLSELEY HORNET (1935-36)

Saloon, coupé.

Last of the Hornet line, complete with larger engine, low pressure tyres and Easi-Clean wheels. Frame had the rather ineffectual cross bracing of the '34 cars, but the freewheel had now gone. Top gear ratio was 5.37:1, but felt much lower. Not the dreadful motor car the traditionalists say it is, but it was overbodied and under-geared, and not to be cornered hard.
