Motorclassica 2015: Australia's concours

More than 20,000 people packed into The Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne, Australia to view a stunning display of more than 500 vintage, veteran and classic cars in October.

Among the highlights was a celebration of 100 years of Maserati production and 50 years of the Ford Mustang, as well as an incredible selection of memorabilia from the life of record breaker Donald Campbell.

This Lightweight Jaguar E-type was built by local firm Jag E-type Restorations, and was absolutely spotless throughout. It's gleaming engine bay was a draw throughout the weekend.

A standout among the veteran offerings was this 105 year old coalscuttle Renault, which its owners dubbed 'Buttercup'.

Not all the cars at Motorclassica were preened and polished: this Osca stood out for its originality. Just look at that interior!

A massive wheel from Donald Campbell's Bluebird CN7 Land Speed Record car was just one of the artefacts from the great man's life. Also on show was his lucky charm – a teddybear named Mr Whoppitt.

This lovely BMW 300 proved that the best things come in small packages. It was surrounded by Ford Mustangs.

American classics are popular in Australia. This '59 Cadillac shows us why, with its colossal proportions and stunning rear fins.

This 1924 Stoewer D10 is the only of its type thought to still exist out of an original production run of just 50. It was displayed at the 1924 Melbourne Motor Show in the very same building in which Motorclassica was held.
