A pair of rare Cadillacs are heading the early lot list for Mecum's inaugural Houston, Texas auction on 13-14 April.
With more than 600 classics due to go under the hammer, there is already a buzz about Houston businessman and collector Sterling McCall offering 25 cars from his Old Car Museum.
Among them is a 1931 Cadillac V12 Roadster (Lot S98, above). The rare 368cu in three-speeder offers 135bhp.
Any V16 Cadillac gets pulses racing and from the same collection there is a top-of-the-line, flathead-powered 1936 Cadillac V16 sedan (Lot S94, above).
Amos Minter, a well-known Thunderbird enthusiast who also hails from the Lone Star State, is to auction an award-winning 1957 Ford Thunderbird (Lot S117, below) from his personal collection.
Company president and CEO Dana Mecum said: "Last October our company made its Texas debut in the city of Dallas where we were met with a rollicking response. We recognised that south-east Texas was also hungry for the Mecum brand of auction action, so naturally we gravitated toward the great city of Houston and are excited to bring our auction experience to The Reliant Center."
