The centenary of the outbreak of the First World War will be marked in London by a gathering of classics at the Imperial War Museum on 30 August.
Auto Historica 2014, which is being organised by the Burpham Motor Racing Club, will see more than 40 classic cars take to the museum's grounds in remembrance of those who fell during the Great War. The event will coincide with the opening of the museum's First World War Galleries exhibition, which was unveiled this week.
Organisers have received special dispensation to arrange the cars around the memorial guns, and a buffet lunch will be laid on as well as a tour of the exhibits.
Tickets are priced at £35 each and spaces are limited. The proceeds of the event will benefit the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
