The 50th British Grand Prix at Silverstone was marked in fine style at the Silverstone Classic, which gathered a record 84 GP cars, led by motor sport legend Sir Stirling Moss.
Moss was at the wheel of a Maserati 250F and was joined by David Brabham, who drove a Brabham BT24 in honour of his father, Jack, who passed away earlier this year. They were joined by the Talbot-Lago T26C that was entered into the first Silverstone Grand Prix for Lord Selsdon, as well as Jack Sears' Cooper, who took the car out more than 50 years after he first raced it.
"The 250F is such a fabulous car – absolutely beautiful," said Moss: "What a wonderful occasion – to be driving a car like this is just magic and reminds me just how fabulous the Maserati was. I guess it shows just how good it was if you can win a race like Monaco in one.
