This year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show is set to honour women with a passion for motoring, from pioneering female racers and designers through to the inspirational characters who help keep our classic car clubs alive, with the 2015 theme ‘She’s a beauty’.
“The classic motoring scene is no longer a man’s world,” said event director Dan Nwaokolo. “Each year we have more and more women who are on club committees organising display stands, young ladies enrolled on classic restoration apprenticeships, and female classic collectors joining us at the show.”
More than 250 classic motoring clubs are expected to embrace the theme from 3-5 November, with personalities such as Michele Mouton, Rosemary Smith and Pat Moss all sure to be remembered.
“This is an incredible theme that highlights how much of an influence women have had, and continue to have, on the classic car movement,” said Lancaster Insurance’s Richard Morley. “We can’t wait to unveil our stand design, which will celebrate this in all its splendour!”
