An incredible selection of 65 rare classics and 20 motorcycles has been announced for Salon Prive’s Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elegance, led by a stunning 1924 Alfa Romeo RL Normale Coupé de Ville. The event takes place at the historic Blenheim Palace from 1-3 September.
The one-of-a-kind Alfa Romeo is set to be one of the stars of the Pre-war Coachwork class. Bodied in Caoba wood by renowned coach builder J Farré, the car was delivered new to Barcelona. It will be the first time it has been exhibited at Salon Privé.
Another classic sure to be challenging for top honours is a recently restored 1956 Ferrari 500 Testa Rossa, though this time competing in the Racing Improves the Breed class. The Ferrari is one of just 18 examples produced and had spent the past 50 years in storage. It counts among its racing victories back to back wins at Nassau in 1956 and 1957, as well as finishing second in class in the 1957 Cuban Grand Prix.
A special class dedicated to Voisins is set to be unmissable. It will include a remarkable 1923 Type C6 Laboratoire that will make its way to the event from the Mullin Automotive Museum in California.
