An incredible selection of automotive and motorsport art will go on display at this year’s Classic & Sports Car Show, including paintings, photographs and sculptures from some of the best artists in their fields.
The Classic & Sports Car Show, which takes place at Alexandra Palace from 28-30 October, is set to play host to a dazzling array of artwork from top artists such as Tim Layzell, who is responsible for creating the event’s stunning poster image.
UK-based motorsport fan and former competitor Tim Layzell’s painting takes on a supercar theme, reflecting the show’s main attraction: a world-class display of 11 of the past century’s most exciting and daring supercar designs, ranging from the Mercedes SSK through to the cutting-edge hybrids of the present day.
Layzell will be joined in the show halls by London artist and screen printer Ella Freire, who will display a selection of her limited edition classic car prints. Her love of classics stems from her grandfather, who raced at Brooklands during the 1930s, and has led her to produce a series of deconstructed race car images using a combination of metallic, gloss and matte substrates mounted on acrylic frames.
In honour of the show’s supercar theme and in celebration of the Miura’s 50th anniversary, Ella will be displaying a special piece of the iconic Lamborghini on her stand.
