Spectators will be offered several fantastic opportunities to be part of the action at the new-look Donington Historic Festival, which takes place at the Donington Park Circuit from 28 April-30 April.
Precision driving legend Paul Swift – the man behind the stunts at Top Gear Live – will be offering stunt driving lessons, teaching people how to do J-turns and drift a car through 360 degrees. The stunt driver will also perform a tribute to The Italian Job, a high-speed stunt involving three classic Minis.
Visitors will also be given the opportunity to test their mettle on track by booking drift lessons, where would-be racing drivers can experience the latest Caterham Sevens under the tutelage of professional drivers.
In addition to the drift and stunt driving lessons, the Sporting Bears will also be on hand to offer passenger rides in a range of classic, luxury and supercars, while the pit lanes will also be open at lunchtime to allow fans the chance to see cars being prepared and chat with drivers and mechanics.
“We are now in the final run-up to the festival and we are hugely excited about the changes to the 2017 event,” said organiser Richard Grafton. “We have a host of new activities and attractions, not only for motorsport enthusiasts, but for the whole family. With the changes that have been made, we truly believe this year’s festival is going to be the best one yet.”
