Making its Prescott debut is the Bugatti Chiron, the fastest car in the world, capable of achieving a staggering 261mph – though it won’t trouble its top speed on the tight and winding Prescott course. The Chiron will be joined by a number of other Bugattis, including a Veyron Supersports and EB110.
Louis Chiron, the subject of Bugatti’s hommage, is also set to be celebrated at the opening of the Bugatti Trust’s latest exhibition: Chiron – The Man’. One of the marque’s most successful racing drivers, Chiron tamed Types 22, 35, 51 and 53 throughout a long career which saw him compete at the top level of motorsport until the age of 55.
Ferrari 250GT SWB chassis 2735 – the very car in which Sir Stirling Moss won his seventh Tourist Trophy race – is set to go on show flying the flag for the Italian brand. One of only three right-hand drive Competition Short-wheelbase cars, it was famously described by Moss as the ‘best GT car in the world’.
