A special collector’s edition of Classic & Sports Car dedicated exclusively to Ferrari’s finest road and race cars hits the shelves in the UK next week (22 June). The special summer issue will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Maranello firm through a collection of jaw dropping features and exclusive drives, ranging from the one time fastest car in the world through to a trio of the most ferocious, track-focused supercars.
We’ve rounded up six of the top Ferrari features from the upcoming issue – click here to pre-order yours.
6. Ferrari’s Testarossas – Glorious redheads
Don’t listen to pub bores, says Mark Wheeler after sampling Testarossa, 512TR and F512M: Ferrari’s flat-12 pin-up is a fantastic drive. We get to grips with each iteration of the Testarossa and discover that the same ingredients that convinced more than 7000 customers to part with their money in the 1980s – purposeful lines, a brutal 390bhp engine and unbridled excess – have spurred on a recent resurgence in values.
5. Ferrari Daytona – Bred of heaven
The Daytona didn’t break any moulds but reigned as the world’s fastest car for a decade plus, says Richard Heseltine as he discovers motoring nirvana in Wales. Ferrari's front-engined bruiser may have suffered by comparison to the Miura, but there's plenty to recommend the Leonardo Fioravanti-penned GT, as we find out during a spirited drive through north east Wales.
