Morgan has unveiled its limited-edition anniversary edition of the iconic Plus 8 at the Geneva International Motor Show.
Just 50 models of the Plus 8 50th Anniversary will be produced, with each individually numbered car costing at least £107,500. Still, for that significant outlay you do also get a Christopher Ward C1 Morgan Plus 8 Chronometer watch, which rather charmingly features a piece of the original ‘MMC 11’ 1968 prototype Plus 8 in the back plate.
It'll be available in two distinct versions – the Racing Green model with a soft top that's pictured above, or the blue ‘speedster spec’ model below; both can be ordered in left- or right-hand drive, and manual or automatic.
Whichever version you go for, it'll run on the naturally aspirated 4.8-litre BMW V8 engine – the last Morgan to do so. And as you'd expect, it'll be pretty nippy: capable of 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds and with a top speed of 155 mph.
The Plus 8 50th Anniversary car pays homage to its history in multiple ways, from the spun aluminium domed panel on its rear to the sporty white brake calipers and ceramic-coated twin-cannon-style white exhaust tips.
