Two classic Lamborghinis will cross the block at this month’s Silverstone Auctions sale in Warwickshire – and we’re sure we’re not alone in feeling a lot of love for them.
The oldest is a 1974 Espada Series 3 (above), which is expected to sell for between £90,000 and £110,000.
It’s a one-owner car that’s covered just 26,000 miles, it’s finished in Black Cherry with a burgundy interior, and it’s the 50th from last of the 1225 built.
The car has been well maintained all its life and has recently benefited from a transmission overhaul, cylinder-head rebuild and full service by Classic Workshop Ltd in Bicester, which cost £4668.
Non-standard items include the retrofitted electronic ignition system, high-torque starter motor and braided fuel lines.
The Espada will be sold with its original toolkit, jack and spare wheel and, interestingly, an original pair of Lamborghini Cologne leather-bound flasks.
Like your Lambos a little younger – and brighter? How about this 1996 Diablo SV.
