It’s rare, it has V12 power and it wears a Prancing Horse – where do we sign?
This 1970 Ferrari 365GT 2+2 certainly ticks a lot of boxes and is sure to make one bidder very happy when it crosses the block at next month’s Silverstone Auctions Autosport International sale.
It also appears to be in fabulous condition – no surprise, perhaps, given that it’s coming out of an exclusive private collection where it’s been cosseted for the past 20 years.
There’s even room in the back so you can share the experience with mates; although granted, they’ll need to be short friends or, even better, children.
This matching-numbers 365GT 2+2 has a pre-sale estimate of £190-220,000, so what will its next custodian get for his or her cash?
Well, it’s one of just 52 right-hand-drive examples and recently benefited from a thorough mechanical and engine overhaul which cost almost £20,000.
That engine is a 320bhp, 4.4-litre V12, it’s mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, and the car is good for 150mph, doing 0-60mph in 7 secs.
And to help handle that power, this Ferrari has Koni hydropneumatic self-levelling rear suspension, as well as all-round Girling ventilated disc brakes.
