The MG Car Club has today announced that this summer’s MGLive! has been cancelled.
A question mark had been hanging over the 15-16 June extravaganza for several weeks since it was revealed that track maintenance work at its venue, Silverstone, had left organisers seeking a new site and date.
As no solution could be found, the club is now focused on its 2020 international meeting that promises a new format, building on the best of previous events.
MGLive! is an historic meeting that’s been held every summer for the last 68 years and this year it was due to celebrate MG’s 95th birthday.
So, what do you need to do if you’ve already bought a ticket? Simple: nothing.
MG Car Club advises that ticket holders don’t need to get in contact, as the Club will be in touch with everyone who has bought one to arrange a full refund.
“We are very sorry to be updating everyone with such disappointing news,” said Adam Sloman, General Manager of MG Car Club.
