It’s been with the same owner for 40 years and now this 1964 Aston Martin DB5 is going under the hammer at Monterey Car Week.
RM Sotheby’s and Aston Martin is bringing a new sale to the world-famous Californian gathering on 15 August with this single-marque auction, which will see in excess of 30 roadgoing and competition-ready models cross the block.
And as this is just the fifth DB5 to roll off the production line, and a matching-numbers car that has never been fully restored, it’s a noteworthy lot.
Chassis number DB5/1305/L is left-hand drive and, when new, was sold through British Motor Car Distributors in San Francisco to the Washington Fruit & Produce Corporation.
