As unlikely as that headline might sound, if you’re a fan of the Double Chevron looking to pay tribute to the marque in its centenary year, then two events working together in Coventry should help you do just that.
The events are MotoFest Coventry on 1-2 June and the nearby Citroën Centenary Event on 31 May-2 June.
The culmination of the celebrations will be on the Sunday (2 June), when 1000 cars are scheduled to join forces for an impressive parade from Coombe Park to the centre of Coventry. The cars will then be displayed in the city – indeed, four iconic vehicles will take pride of place on show inside Coventry Cathedral.
The club-run, manufacturer-supported Citroën Centenary Event will provide three days of fun from the Friday, with trade stands, an autojumble, catering and live music – as well as a great many Citroëns, of course!
Head to the event website for more details – discounted tickets are available before this Wednesday, 1 May.
“We are really excited to be part of MotoFest Coventry this year,” said Karl Howkins, Citroën UK Managing Director.
“Not only is the festival a heritage event, it also showcases what is happening in the automotive world now and in the future. Celebrating our centenary here in Coventry is the perfect way to rejoice in our rich history and look to the exciting future ahead for the brand.”
