It has a mere 272 miles on the clock and now this time-warp Mini is for sale.
A 1968 Mk1 Morris Minor-Mini Super De Luxe, it’s described by its vendor, Woodham Mortimer, as “likely to be the world’s most original Mini”.
And while this could be dismissed as PR puff – especially in the model’s 60th-anniversary year – we’re betting it’s one of the lowest-mileage Minis on the market.
The car was built in ’67, making it a late Mk1, before being registered and delivered to its first owner, Mrs B Jones, the following year.
She bought the car with the intention of learning to drive. However, she was unsuccessful and the Mini was garaged.
And, incredibly, it stayed there until her family consigned it to an auction a couple of years back.
So this is no restored special: it’s an as-new ’60s Mini, with just 271.8 miles on the clock.
