A fantastic total of more than £13,500 was raised for NHS Charities Together by Classics for Carers on 3 May – and this success means it is making a return.
The stay-at-home motor show was widely supported by the classic-car community in the UK and overseas, and saw enthusiasts adorn their four- and two-wheeled classics with the event’s stickers and rally plates, before rolling them onto their driveways, opening garage doors and pulling back covers, to share them with passers-by.
Images were also posted on social media with #classicsforcarers, filling enthusiasts’ feeds with feel-good photos.
The event’s second edition will be on 7 June.
It will follow the same format as its predecessor, money raised through the purchase of event stickers and plates, as well as via a JustGiving page, and participants will be encouraged to show off their classics, whilst staying at home and observing social distancing rules, with photos shared on social media.
