If you like the idea of a classic electric Rolls-Royce Phantom V, then you’re in luck.
Lunaz has just pulled the covers off a 1961 Phantom V, described as the world’s first electrified Rolls-Royce, which has undergone a comprehensive restoration during which the firm’s electric powertrain has been installed.
At first, production will be limited to 30 cars, customers able to choose between a Phantom or a Silver Cloud, in a range of body styles.
Prices, excluding taxes, start at £350,000 for the Silver Cloud and £500,000 for Lunaz’s Phantom – as ever, it seems a Rolls-Royce isn’t for everyone.
This first Phantom, which wears a two-tone Midland Grey over Cinereous Grey paintjob, has a 120kWh battery park, giving a range of over 300 miles, and it is equipped for both home charging and rapid charging.
