The Scuderia Ferrari Alfa Romeo 8C Monza Zagato raced by Tazio Nuvolari will star at Salon Privé, as Alfa’s 110th anniversary is marked.
Enzo Ferrari ran Alfa’s works team in the ’30s and entered this car into various competitions, including the Coppa Principe di Piemonte in July 1932 where Nuvolari took it to victory.
And this very car, chassis number 2111044, will be on show at the Blenheim Palace-based concours on 23-26 September.
A quartet of Alfa Romeo 6C 2500s will be in attendance, too: the 1942 Touring-bodied 6C 2500 SS Coupé sold new to racer Count Felice Trossi; a ’42 6C 2500 S Cabriolet thought to be one of only three bodied in this style; a 1943 example wearing coachwork by Carrozzeria Garavini; and a 6C 2500 SS wearing a Pinin Farina two-seater cabriolet body once owned by Count Zehender, a works driver for Alfa Romeo, Mercedes-Benz and Maserati.
The sixth Alfa at Blenheim Palace to mark this anniversary is a 1933 8C 2300 Tipo Le Mans with Touring coachwork.
