The Heritage Skills Academy is expanding with a second site at Brooklands Museum.
From January 2021, the purpose-built workshop at the Surrey museum will become the HSA’s southern campus, in addition to its base at Bicester Heritage in Oxfordshire, which opened in 2016.
Benefiting from the experience and expertise at Brooklands, the apprentices will receive training to attain their Heritage Engineering Technician qualification.
The HSA unites experts from across the classic car industry and is committed to preserving the skills required to restore and maintain classic vehicles, and sharing this knowledge and passion with the next generation of engineers.
“This partnership with the Heritage Skills Academy is of great significance for Brooklands Museum and we are delighted to be working with the team,” said Tamalie Newbery, Brooklands Museum’s Director and CEO.
“Brooklands Museum has an educational mission and bringing this nationally renowned apprenticeship programme to Brooklands is an important step in our support of careers in STEM subjects.
