The British Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire, is to benefit from a £707,000 cash injection from the government’s Culture Recovery Fund (CRF), to help it through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and to secure its future sustainability.
A £76m investment scheme was announced by the government on Saturday, and the British Motor Museum is one of 588 cultural and creative organisations across the country to receive support.
In all, the CRF totals £1.57 billion, and includes the £257m awarded recently to 1385 organisations, including Brooklands Museum in Surrey.
After being forced to close when the national lockdown was imposed, the British Motor Museum ran family-friendly online activities at Easter, and has since reopened.
You can currently visit between Friday and Monday (10am-5pm), plus it will be open from 24 October until 1 November for the half-term holidays, subject to changes in restrictions.
