It has been confirmed that the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2021 will take place, despite the delay in the lifting of COVID restrictions.
The 8-11 July event will take over the West Sussex estate as a pilot event, forming part of the Events Research Programme (ERP).
This means that all those on site will have to agree to the conditions of entry set out by the ERP, which will include either having had both doses of the coronavirus vaccine at least 14 days before the event, or proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test, which can be taken at home or at a recognised centre free of charge, within 48 hours of the event.
Organisers will confirm the ERP conditions of entry and the NHS Test and Trace requirements in due course.
The theme for the 2021 edition will be ‘Motorsport’s Great All-Rounders’, while Lotus will be celebrated in the Central Feature right outside Goodwood House, an honour last bestowed on the marque in 2012.
