The inaugural Coventry Concours is coming to the evocative ruins of the city’s cathedral on 24-25 July.
This brand-new event will form part of the well-established MotoFest Coventry, which for 2021 has a month-long series of four, themed weekend events from 17 July until 8 August.
What’s more, entrance to the concours, which is organised in partnership with the Association of Heritage Engineers, is free.
This follows a virtual concours run last year, the winners of which will be invited to feature at 2021’s in-person event.
Joining them will be an array of classics, many with a strong local flavour, Jaguar, Daimler, Standard, Triumph, the Rootes Group and Armstrong Siddeley all set to be represented.
And the event will kick-off with all participating vehicles driving through the city to the cathedral.
“It’s going to be a fantastic opportunity to see beautiful, premium heritage cars and motorcycles showcasing the best of Coventry’s car and ’bike manufacturing expertise in an incredibly iconic setting and we are really looking forward to it,” said Festival Director, James Noble.
