Frazer Nashes will take centre stage in one of two new races coming to the 79th Goodwood Members’ Meeting on 9-10 April 2022.
The AFP Fane Trophy will be a one-off race, paying tribute to this famous British marque, and the organisers promise a grid packed with chain-driven Super Sports, Shelsley single-seaters, racing specials and more.
Also making its event debut next spring will be the Robert Brooks Trophy, which it is hoped will recreate the atmosphere of the club races held at Goodwood during the circuit’s heyday – Lotus Elevens, Lola Mk1s, Cooper T49s and more are expected.
These will be joined by the Formula Three campaigners in the Derek Bell Cup, the Peter Collins Trophy which evokes Goodwood’s 9 Hour races of the ’50s and will feature the likes of Jaguar C- and D-types and Aston Martin DB3s, and the Sopwith Cup, inspired by the earliest tin-top races.
The ever-popular Gerry Marshall Trophy for Group 1 saloon cars will be back for 2022, too. This two-driver challenge sees the star racers at the helm on the Saturday evening, before the owners contest a reverse-grid sprint race the next day
