The Malvern Hills will come alive to the sounds of engines as Classic Nostalgia returns to Shelsley Walsh on 16-17 July.
The world’s oldest motorsport venue to still feature its original course is also one of the most charming, in a beautiful setting and with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Classic and vintage cars will join special guests to celebrate the 11th running of the event – here’s what’s in store.
1. BRM’s birthday party
BRM is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its sole Formula One Constructors’ World Championship win with the V8-powered P578 at Shelsley Walsh this year.
Also lining up to mark the occasion are more than 20 historic BRMs which will be on show over the weekend, whilst the V16 engine of a continuation BRM P15 revving to 12,000rpm will surely make its presence heard – and turn plenty of heads.
2. Classic & Sports Car’s Concours d’Elegance
Open to any classic car built before 1985 and free to enter, the Classic & Sports Car Concours d’Elegance will return on Sunday 17 July, awarding prizes in the following four classes:
