1961 Daimler DR450 Mileage 62,300 (1961) For sale from Mark Barbour, in CA , United States

This rare Daimler DR450 limo came to me by way of a friend who had hoped to restore it but never did and then had to sell his house quickly. It’s been off the road and in a “barn” for 20+ years. There are three stickers on the windows giving the briefest of clues to the cars past, one from Great Britain, another from a camping club in Ireland and finally a Japanese parking permit. Arriving in Southern California it was acquired by a man named Hero who planned to restored it and use the vehicle in his limousine service. Hiro must have been the one who removed the Hemi engine and replaced it with an Oldsmobile V8. Apparently, this is one of the last DR450’s produced by Daimler before Jaguar took over the operations. Rough condition, with evidence of some restoration being done (some parts have been chromed already). We got the motor to turn over and ran the car. Need to find the right home for this project car before my wife knows I took it in like another stray cat!
