1952 Morgan Plus 4 Drophead Coupe Flat Rad SO512 (1952) For sale from Berrybrook Motors Ltd , in Exeter, United Kingdom

When the Plus 4 model started, there were only a rather small number of Flat Rad types built prior to the new cowl being introduced in 1953 and, amongst that rare group, even fewer were Drop Head Coupes... which makes this one of the rarest beasts out there!
The Drophead Coupe cars had a more vertical rear allowing for a larger parcel shelf as well as suicide doors which made them easier to enter and exit. These features added up to a car that was better for touring!
This car is in fantastic condition and is well worth viewing. The current owner has owned this car since 1971 and the file includes paperwork going back throughout his ownership. Earlier service history is missing but some private correspondence with the original owner as well as photographs are present taking the story of this car all the way back to 1952!
The original owner entered the car for the Monte Carlo Rally, however a rule change disallowing soft tops meant they drove their AC Saloon Instead.
