90 years ago, on 16 March, Sir Henry Segrave's Sunbeam Tiger travelled in excess of 152mph to set a new world Land Speed Record at Ainsdale beach in Southport. The famous car returned to the same beach recently to carry out demonstration runs on the sand, and it wasn't alone – the event drew the largest gathering of Sunbeam automobiles in recent memory.
Classic & Sports Car was there to witness the historic re-enactment.
