ALFA ROMEO 8C-2300

Spyder, 4-seater sports, coupé, cabriolet.

Twin-cam blown 150bhp straight-eight with the camshaft drive running up between the two blocks, a true detuned racing unit down to the dry-sump lubrication. Otherwise mechanics as for 1750GS, but always crash 'box and gate change, plus huge finned brake drums with rod actuation. 100-110mph in top, 0-50mph in about 8 secs, and a choice of 108ins or 122ins wheelbases. 2.6-litre engines never catalogued, and fitted only to competition cars.
