ALVIS SILVER CREST 17-TF/20-TH

4-light saloon, 6-light saloon, drophead coupé.

Simplifying the 'cooking' six with tubular cross-members instead of cruciform bracing, double transverse quarter-elliptics for cheaper ifs, and no synchro on bottom. Hypoid rear axle, but still sits rather high on its 120ins wheelbase. 2.8-litre engine added to range for '38 but even with this 75mph is the limit.
