Saloon are now very occasional four-seater hatchbacks, and early cars, with 2.6 engines, came in Vantage tune as standard. The 3-litre engine, standardised during 1954, restores the performance lost with the extra seats; it develops 140bhp. Dropheads rare (only 73 or so made of all types to the end of 1955). Saloons easier to find, but watch restoration costs.
