ASTON MARTIN DB6 MKII

4-seater 2-door saloon.

Final flowering of DB4 family, first seen in 1958. DB6, with lengthened wheelbase and spoilered tail, was first seen in 1965. Mk II, with flared arches and DBS wheels, was produced as 'end of bin' model. Coil spring independent front, beam axle rear, with steel platform chassis. Typical Newport Pagnell battle-cruiser. Many fitted with automatic transmission, a few (disastrously) with AE fuel injection. With optional 325bhp it had a 148mph top speed - who needs a Ferrari?
