Austin
AUSTIN 10/4 (1937-39)

2-seater, tourer, Cambridge saloon, 4-door cabriolet.

All-steel six-light saloon bodywork, a proper boot, Girling brakes, forward-mounted engine, 16ins steel-spoke wheels, and 60mph, though maybe a bit thirstier than older Tens. Open cars ('37 only) retain the old shape, lower axle ratio from Jan '38, but improved ali head (that April) gives a bit more urge. Models from 1939 have pistol grip handbrakes and piston-type dampers.
