AUSTIN SEVEN RUBY (1937-39)

2-seater, tourer, saloon, cabriolet.

From August '36, with semi-Girling brakes and 17bhp three-bearing engine, though still largely spit-and-hope. Closed cars have winding rear quarter windows which aren't rust-traps like older Rubies. Full Girling rod-operated brakes from June, 1938. Last cars made March '39. As refined as the Baby ever got, but a saloon weighs nearly 13cwt.
