Bigger engine (335bhp), revised suspension, limited-slip diff. Trapezoidal grille now wider at bottom and has driving lamps protruding rather than recessed - this until revised 1973 model. Progressively improved through five series: notable changes are self-levelling suspension for 1970 (S2), full-width grille for 1973 (S3), and the 6.6-litre engine for 1974 (S4). Genuine wood and leather, of course, plus power windows and an air-conditioning option. Replaced by 603 in 1976.
