Buick
BUICK CENTURY

2-door and 4-door 5-seater fastback saloon/estate car/ coupé.

GM's 'intermediate' range was drastically down-sized (600lbs lighter and 18ins shorter than previous model), and had unpopular Aeroback' saloon style similar to Chrysler/Talbot Alpine shape. Conventional chassis, shared with Pontiacs and Oldsmobiles, and choice of V6 or V8 engines. V6s, once built by Buick, had been sold to Kaiser-Jeep in 1967 and brought back in 1974! Shape unpopular, replaced by more formal style for 1980. Very rare indeed in Britain.
