BURNEY STREAMLINE

7-seater saloon.

Sir Dennistoun Burney's wingless aircraft with rear engine, cycle-type wings, 'ear' radiators, all-independent transverse springing and a true spaceframe, plus hydraulic brakes, recessed headlamps and spare wheels parked in the rear doors. Choice of 'bonneted' or full forward control variants. Beverley 8 and Armstrong Siddeley 20 engines standard, but sixes and eights by Lycoming also used. Said to be tricky to drive, but 80mph on 80bhp creditable.
