Cadillac

Cadillac
CADILLAC SEVILLE (1975-79)

4-door 5-seater saloon.

Smallest Cadillac for 50 years was stylist Bill Mitchell's invention, and aped Rolls-Royce and Mercedes-Benz in every way but quality. Loosely based on body structure of Chevrolet Nova - like making a big Rover out of a Maestro! Big separate front subframe, Oldsmobile V8 engine, rear drums at first (but discs all round for '77), yet unmistakeably a Cadillac style. Bolt-on wirespoke wheels on some versions, and a diesel engine option from mid-'78. Better than the average Caddy.
