CLAN CRUSADER

2-door 2-seater sports coupé.

Brave attempt by Paul Haussauer to offer budget-price coupé with glass-frubre monocoque and Rootes Imp Sport/Stiletto running gear. Built in Washington, Co.Durham, and sold as complete car or kit. Distinctive styling, god road behaviour, and could have used much more power, for rear-engined Imp layout was always sanitary. Porject killed off by imposition of VAT (which hit kit cars badly), with all revival attempts failing.
