COLT LANCER

2-door and 4-door 4-seater saloon/estate.

Mitsubishi Industries' first (and successful) attempt to sell cars in Britain, under 'Colt' marquee name here from late 1974. Smooth and rounded body styling, and conventional mechanical layout with unit construction shell, macPherson strut front suspension and rigid rear axles, but recirculating ball steering like most Japanese cars. Unexciting except in build quality - big engine only for Sport models.
