FORD V8-62 22HP

Fordor sedan.

No American - or even Australian - equivalent of this one, though some French Matfords very similar. Uses the unhappy 60 engine in a short, 108ins wheelbase chassis with X-bracing, plus (of course) mechanical brakes, transverse springing, steel spoke wheels and Model-60's electric pump feed. Four-light bodies receive projecting boot for'38, and this latter coachwork continued during the war on WOA staff cars, albeit with the 221 engine, and reappeared on the Pilot in 1947. 22HP not the most desirable V8.
