Hillman

Hillman
HILLMAN HUNTER GT/GLS

4-door 5-seater saloon.

Proof that even the most boring cars can be made sporty - more power, better instruments and attention to roadholding. GT was called Hillman GT for first year only, had 82bhp Sunbeam Rapier engine and transmission GLS, launched in '72, had 95bhp H120 power, Rostyle wheels, better roadholding, and 105mph top speed. Remarkably fast car which won many saloon car races of the period, and altogether better value than the Rapiers from which it evolved. Neither GT nor GLS survived to become Chryslers.
