Hillman

Hillman
HILLMAN MINX (1940-44)

Saloon, drophead coupé.

Debut of the 1945-47 Phase I range with unitary construction, alligator bonnets, projecting boot, and a 12-volt electrics, though still, of course, beam front axles and Bendix brakes. Few to full civilian specification and probably no dropheads, though some austerity saloons (smaller headlamps, minimal chrome) produced for essential users between 1942-44. Leather rather than twin-trim upholstery identifies pre-war unitaries.
