JAGUAR 1½-LITRE

Saloon, drophead coupè.

Best-selling and more compact economy model, with same interior and luxury appointments as the 'sixes'. Should return 26mpg in ohv form, from 1938 model-year; side-valve Standard Twelve unit is used until then. A laboured 70mph from pushrod cars, and negligible acceleration. Pre-war cars SS-badged, and no dropheads post-war.½
