JAGUAR 420G
5-seater saloon, limousine.
Once called Mark X, 420G was last of the really big Jaguars, on the 120ins wheelbase traditional from Mk VII days. Historic as the first Jaguar saloon with all-independent suspension. Though larger, it was not as roomy as XJ6, and its handling not as precise. Even so, nicely trimmed, fast (120mph), and refined. Limousines (24 only) extremely rare. Some with duo-tone colouring, all with gargantuan luggage space, most with automatic transmission. But how many have rusted away?
