Lamborghini
LAMBORGHINI ESPADA I/II/III

2-door 4-seater fastback saloon.

First true four-seater Lamborghini, with Bertone style on conventional steel platform frame. All-independent, all-disc, luxurious trim, but messy dashboard at first, and cramped rear seat area. Large rear window/hatch, vast open-up front bonnet/wheel covers and four exposed headlamps made car quite unmistakeable. 325bhp at first, but 350bhp (and 155mph top speed) for SII and SIII - SII launched in 1970, with chassis improvements and much neater facia layout. For all this, and 1217 sold, Espada was always under-estimated. Time for a reputation revival?
