Lanchester

Lanchester
LANCHESTER 23 HP

Saloon, limousine, various specials.

George Lanchester's answer to the Twenty 'Royce with eight bearing ohc, four-speed right-hand change 'box, worm drive, cantilever rear springs and (by 1930) vacuum servo brakes and centre-lock wire wheels. Last ones with grouped chassis lubrication. Not quite as quiet as a Twenty and indirect ratios painfully low, but they don't seem to attract Rolls-Royce prices, either.
