First of the modern GTs, fast and taut-handling, but also a complicated rust-trap. Third to sixth series (1953-58) sold here: outputs 110-118bhp, speeds around 110mph. Fourth series (1954-55) has de Dion rear end, fifth (1956) is detuned with a direct top gear, and sixth (1957-58) is uprated again. Originally (S1/S2) with 1991cc engine; car first seen in 1951.
